About Us
AREAS was founded in September 2004 and obtained legal status in January 2005. He started right from the establishment by organizing the North-East of the first edition of "Festival of Your Chances" in Suceava in November 2004.
Since 2009 AREAS became a member of the Executive Committee of Social Firms CEFEC Europe is a European network of social enterprises, cooperatives, NGOs and organizations that have the common goal, creating jobs for people with disability and disadvantaged people.
Mission:
Promoting best practice in training and adult education to support sustainable development of communities of the North and North-Eastern Romania.
Objectives:
- Development of local community resources by promoting lifelong learning and intercultural learning;
- Providing access to learning opportunities for adults in rural areas;
- Supporting the Romanian integration in European Union by promoting adult education and development in a European context;
- Developing a network of service providers for professional development through local community centers reactivation cultural
- Organizing professional development courses for qualification, specialization and career improvement regardless of class, ethnicity or other social groups;
- Development and management research on improving methods and techniques to facilitate adult learning;
- Studies of creating and editing materials, publications to support adult education;
- Conduct public relations campaign to launch the Better Regulation for adult education and professional development;
- Facilitate dialogue and cross border cooperation in adult education and image in a European dimension;
- Develop research in methods and techniques for adult education and access to national and European funds;
- Development of actions to support projects in adult education;
- Development of cultural activities, festivals, symposia and research to create and promote national cultural heritage;
- Develop programs and projects to support young people in placement centers and especially young people in Suceava, in general;
- Development of specific activities for socio-professional reintegration of persons with mental disabilities by occupational therapy activities in day centers or clubs.
