Regional Association of Adult Education Suceava (AREAS), member representative for Romania in 2007 the executive board-CEFEC Social Firms Europe, took over the presidency in October 2011 and was appointed to organize the 25th International Conference for promotion Social Economy in the Year 2012.
The website of the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Protection was published, on 14.12.2011, for consultation, the draft Law on Social Economy. We welcome this legislative proposal through a world-class conference that we organize in Suceava on social economy. CEFEC Conference 2012 will run work under the theme "Social Economy, trend or fact".
Social Firms Europe CEFEC is the only network of social firms in Europe, working on behalf of its members out all EU Member States. Currently 37 members are enrolled in CEFEC. The most important event of CEFEC is annual conference hosted in turn by each member.
CEFEC objectives: promoting social business model and social cooperative EU, national and regional data collection, information and evidence about the actual impact of social firms, sharing best practices among members, encourage and explore opportunities for future research in model social business, just as is implemented in different EU countries.
The main beneficiaries are people CEFEC systematically excluded from employment by the company because of their disability or because they are disadvantaged and who would be entitled to be employed in work and receive remuneration.

From 5 to 7 October 2011, the delegation consists of Basil Gafiuc AREAS (AREAS President), Nicoleta Robciuc (CEO AREAS) and Alina Streda (PR manager AREAS) participated in the 24th annual meeting of Social Firms Europe CEFEC in Merano (Italy).
Held under the title "Work, dignity and social-mission businesses social responsibility" in Merano conference brought together over 100 delegates from 10 European countries. AREAS Suceava Romania is the only organization which is part of the Executive Committee Social Firms Europe, since 2007. As part of the 24th annual meeting, took over the chairmanship CEFEC AREAS and will organize in September 2012 in Suceava, CEFEC anniversary conference, entitled "The social economy, trend or fact?", Which are expected to attend over 150 European delegates.

Exploring Craft Bucovina "is a project funded by the National Cultural Fund Administration AFCN and implemented in partnership with: Association of handicrafts from Bukovina, CIMEC in Museums, Museum Bucovina Suceava, Bucovina Museum of folk customs, Radauti Ethnographic Museum, Museum of Ethnography and Worcester Folklore Library IG Sbiera Bucovina, Bucovinean Art Center for Conservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture in Chernivtsi.
Conference to launch the project took place on September 25, 2011, from 10.00, to "Vama-Bucovina Museum Egg", Suceava. The event invited media representatives, project partners and representatives of the target group of the project.
The aim of the project "Exploring Craft Bucovina" is keeping parimoniului intangible cultural diversity for future generations by preserving and archiving digital Bukovina traditional crafts.
The overall objective is the identification, preservation, archiving and presentation of traditional crafts from Bukovina to Knowledge, updating and providing them as a model of good practice for the younger generation.
The target groups covered by that project are true craftsmen who made and transmit traditional art, but also young people who may take handicrafts as a profession and lifestyle.
The project results are:
• Create two ethnographic films short film that will contain two of the relevant crafts Bukovina (500 pcs. DVDs to be distributed to partners, masters and specialist institutions seeking) • A traveling photo exhibition (60 works) that will include "traditional art way adrift in Bucovina" and the tree of life on the craft of Bucovina "• Create a catalog that will include color photo playback exhibited two geomorphic ornaments (500 pcs.) • Commissioning and current value of intangible cultural heritage • Public participation in cultural events and increasing interest in it (is an itinerant exhibition will be invited schools and high schools in the locations of exposure)
